Treats, Toys, and Dog Heaven Part 3!!!

Hi! So here is part three…since people really wanted one! I hope you like it!

How to Make a very entertaining dog toy!

This is what I call the spinny bottle thing (lol) and its pretty interactive and allows your dog to have a mental exercise! Here are the instructions:

  1. Find a plastic water bottle or tube (Make sure the plastic is not easily broken. Plastic like soda bottle plastic and pipe plastic) You can also use a cardboard tube.
  2. Take a scissor or knife and cut small holes in the tube or bottle. The holes shouldn’t be to small, because treats have to filter through it.
  3. On one of the top holes, make a hole directly behind an already made hole. Take pipe-cleaner and string it through the holes. THe bottle should be hanging upright now.
  4. Fill the bottle with treats and kibble.
  5. Use two sticks and tape one side of pipe cleaner on each side. You can make more of these.

Ice…In a cup.

Yup, I know, you’re probably like, that’s so boring! But wait and read the instructions!

  1. Find a paper or cardboard cup.
  2. Use a scissor or knife to cut one slit on each side. Make sure you can poke card board between the slit.
  3. Cut a  cardboard rectangle that fits through a slit. Make the rectangles long, so that they poke out the side of the cup.
  4. ‘open’ the door of the cup. Fill it with a few treats. ‘close’ the cup back up.

The point of this toy is to mentally stimulate your dog! The way this toy works is whenever your dog rolls the toy around, the doors will ‘open’ and close! Your dog has to find out how this toy works first though!

Now for food!

Since dogs can’t have ice cream (Well, they can, but its bad for them), make this dog healthy alternative!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 4 ounces of plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter(creamy is best, also check ingredients)

What to do:

Mix ingredients together in a blender or food processor. Pour mixture into three or four different small containers and freeze overnight. You can adjust the amounts of each ingredient to get the taste and texture your dog likes best. Leave the treats in the container and serve one to your dog, but be sure to supervise (so he doesn’t eat the container or the whole tray, lol). These treats will last longer if you don’t pop them out of their containers. Experiment with mix-ins like finely diced apples, carrots, or lean meat.

And I hope you liked this post! If you have any questions or comments, please put them in the comments below!
