The Karelian Bear Dog

Anyway, Karelian Bear dogs are hunting dogs with big personality. They are suitable for large game hunting hence the name, Karelian Bear dog.

The Karelian Bear Dog is a dog breed that originates from northwestern Europe. They were kept by Russian and Finnish peasants because they made excellent guard dogs and hunting dogs.

They are loyal, independent, and courageous. They are mainly have a calm temperament. These dogs prefer living in houses with adults only.

They are independent so training is going to take longer. They shed seasonally, so groom them weekly. They weigh 40-49 pounds and live from 11-13 years. They only bark when necessary.
